the trouble is my computer is an old laptop and Incendia alone eats too much power, but I was able to make and export some stl/obj, just can't render them because it wants 18+ hrs! maybe I will work on a more simple shape

I seem to be having a problem with sculpture gen. when I export the file as stl., I am unable to open it in meshlab?
Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

When you export from SG you must specify in your file name the extention like this "FILENAME.STL" otherwise SG save the file without extention and you can open it
I hope it fix the problem

What do you recommend as a render program? and sorry of this sounds silly, can you just render in Incendia?
I have all the programs you listed, and I am going through the steps slowly.
Thanks for the great resources.

Yes for sure you can render directly in Incendia, but the render options are limited
Thank for your comment

What are the minimum hardware specs for this?

You need for this tutorial, 4Gb ram minimum (better with 8-16Gb ram), a good processor (i5-i7-AMD+), a good video card (500Mb min), and if possible a 64Bits OS.

The 3D mesh generated by Incendia can be very big (500Mb to 1Gb) so you need a Render Engine who can handle very big 3D Object.
I highly recommended to start with very simple shapes (fractals objects) at the begining.

You need also to try many times before to obtaint a good result, it doesnt work correctly at the first time, if you obtaint ugly mesh at the beginning it's normal, dont give up try again.

Cheers, Nic
